As many of you may have already heard, one week ago Val Schubert had a lump the size of a golf ball removed from her breast. By the grace of God and God alone, the procedure went well and the tests on the lump revealed that it was not cancerous. Val is still recovering from the procedure but excited to head back down to Honduras. The Schuberts have decided to push back our arrival date from September 15th to September 23rd. Luckily both the Schuberts and I were able to make these changes to our airplane tickets without being charged. So we will get to Honduras eight days after we originally planned but we will get there. Please continue to pray for Val and the Schuberts as Val continues to recover and remember us all in prayer during our times of travel. Unless anything changes in the next week and a half the next time I post on this site I will be posting from Honduras.
2 Corinthians 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us un all our trouble, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the confort we ourselves have recieved from God.
Amen and Praise God

Kenny...You and the Schuberts will be in my prayers for health and safety for all. It's hard to believe that you'll be leaving in a week. I'm excited to see what God has in store for you in the next year. I'll miss you terribly, though.
Love,
Mom
Are you there yet? Get that computer fired up & let us know how you're doing. Love u!

Kenny called my cellphone tonight at 6:30. He tried a few times to get his sister on her cellphone and after not reaching her, called me. He arrived safe and is doing well. They haven't really started school yet as the books just arrived. They have started doing P.E. Kenny said it has rained everyday since he arrived in the mountains. They have been working on the house and his room. He isn't sure when they will get internet but says they will probably try sometime this next week.

I spoke to Kenny this a.m. after he'd tried calling me, his dad and his sister a few times this week unsuccessfully. Thanks, Dina, for giving Heather his phone #. They're an hour behind us so I was suprised to hear him alert and awake at 7 a.m. It was good to hear his voice and hear that he was safe and had a good trip down there. He was on his way out to do a Navy Seal workout (P.E. class) with the boys before they went into town for church. His health is good, with only a couple of spider bites so far. He was surprised at the extent of the crime there, even outside the big cities. Let's continue to pray for his and the Schubert's safety. I'm sure God has them in His hand. Kenny's mom
